About Chicano Park School of Art

The Chicano Park Schoot of Art was developed to ensure the original message of the Chicano movement remains the focal point of the park. That message was and still is the promotion of diversity, meaning all are welcome to participate and are encouraged to portray their own personal expression within their works while remaining consistent with the integrity of the park.

The school provides a casual, open-air, "hands-on" workshop for artists and future artists to come together and create new artworks plus restore existing art. The school meets on Saturdays at the Park and all are welcome. All classes are free of charge, however, the donation of scaffolding, ladders, brushes, and paints etc. are always welcome - from our adult participants, of course!
