Chicano
Park School of Art
Scope: Community oriented, open-air "hands-on" workshop
for artists and future artists to come together and paint in an effort
to keep the message of Chicano Park alive for future generations. The school
meets on Saturdays at Chicano Park at the corner of Logan Ave and Cesar
Chavez Pkwy.

Art Miles Mural Project
Scope: In collaboration with UNESCO, founders Joanne Tawfilis and
Fouad Tawfilis have created a marvel unlike any other. The Art
Miles Mural Project consists of miles of murals created all
over the world, in varying themes, that together will comprise
a mural
of up to 12 miles! The Guiness Book of World Records is calling.
FUERZA President, Mario Torero put his touches on the Manhattan
Memorial Mural that was completed in September 2003. He also
hitched a trip to Manhattan for the unveiling celebration. |

Save The Eyes of Picasso
Scope: The Eyes of Picasso will be leaving San Diego once again, with
the demolition of the ReinCarnation Building to make way for a condo
complex.
The Eyes will be destroyed, but the
effort to save the Downtown Arts Community is alive. Read
